In german you can say to someone "This is not the fine english manner". The other one knows then, you don't like his behaviour. If you say to someone in german, he is scottish. It means, you think, he wants to keep all his money on his own and doesn't like to spend the money. Schottenpreise ("Scottish Prices") in Germany are "Super Saver Prices". :D
Im not even gonnae tell you what we say about the Germans
It's an international stereotype (Wikipedia), not a special Kraut stereotype. I can't confirm this and I don't want annoy you. :)
Its called 'being frugal' ![]()

Yes, this is the right word. But in Germany the people who live in Baden-Württemberg (Stuttgart-Area) have the same reputation.

Everyone going on about unrealistic scores. Welll me and Nickos are currently in a fascinating series of games, where each one has ended in a 0-0 draw!

And man of the match (for my team) has been Liam (against Liam)... ![]()

I've still yet to record a win. In fact, my team have only ever scored two goals (both by the underrated Rocky Rockwell).
Amazingly, I'm still not bored with it. I quite like tending to it each day, like a particularly slow-growing plant that needs watering and trimming each day but never flowers.
Challenge some other teams, train someone, put a few more seats in the Stadium of Shite. It's quite calming. A bit zen. Like one of them little trees that never grow up.

The problem is the levels are too different. I have narrow and realistic games with Leggy at the moment. In the night I had a win over Nick. His professionl attitude is remarkable: He was also my best player then. ![]()

I had a cunning plan,i thought if i challenged the teams above me,i would bring in bigger crowds = more money, but Al's just accepted, gubbed me,and brought in a smaller crowd than i had for one of the lower teams :\ohwell:

'Fraid not - you have to plough all your money into the stadium first (which is what I should have done right at the beginning!), then when you've reached capacity (220,000), then you start training your players to fcuk...
Crowd attendence, it would seem, is based on your own stadium capacity - i.e. if you've got 100,000, then away matches should bring in a similar amount...
I'm nearly at capacity now, then it's train, train, train... Shame that you can only play 6 matches a day, however...

You have to find the right balance. First you have to train your team so that you can beat the lower teams. Then you can expand the stadium and you usually win against the lower teams. If you play then against the upper teams, you will usually loose, but if they invite you, you get a lot of money, because they have big stadiums. If you have the same stadium size as the upper teams, the time will be your friend and the difference between you and upper teams will convergent. So it's only a question of time, for my first victory over Al, because I have the same stadium size.
Dodjem has a stadium size of 15.000 now. I think, she should better expand her stadium instead of spending her earned money in jewellery, clothes and shoes. :D

It isn't only your problem. All of us have only 24 h a day for playing useless games at facebook. :)
I won my first game ![]()
Congratulations to Chris "Hightower" for scoring the only goal of the game.
I also accidentally spunked £50k on training my star forward Leggey "Eleven" Legge in Goalkeeping.
The capacity of my ground is now about the same as Eastlands.
I feel sorry for my fans. I know how they feel ![]()

Is your user name Digi's mobile phone? ![]()
Yeah, I seem to be improving - mainly because I have somebody who's (drum roll, please!), bigingoal! :p
Oh, and has anyone won or been beaten by a scoreline where a goal has been scored by both sides? Bizarrely, I can't think of a game where there's been a scoreline of (say) 4-3, 7-1, 75-1 (!)? ![]()
