Found a simple and bleedin' obvious way to make the challenges more quickly, select "challenge any friend" that brings up all the mugshots, then right click on the ones you want to challenge and open in a new tab, did all ten pretty quickly that way without having to go back through the screens etc. It's still slow, but no way as slow as doing them all individually.

I keep doing that as well, hence why I'm no longer the goalkeeper on my team, and biginoil is in goal...

Damn good question - it doesn't work in cricket!
You just need to train the goalkeeper and at least one striker... The rest can go to fcuk! 
Starting to realise that this football game is actually fucked, the program has so many limitations you can't apply usual logic to it, like training midfielders to pass etc.
Talking of the cricket, I expect to start losing tomorrow. Molly is getting very very close now and Jarvo ain't far behind. I'm paying the penalty for having a strong all-round team rather than one or two superstars. Again its a crap program, I'm by far the weakest level 14 team because I have such a good win ratio, it actually pays to lose!

It's nigh on impossible to beat teams levels ahead of you, or lose to teams levels behind.
And I played some team this weekend, same level as me, who had batsmen of over 10,000 points, and all their bowlers had 4k on average! WTF! They must've had to buy those in cos they hadn't played the number of games to earn that many points!
I've been plodding along at this, getting training points and money where I can. I wasted 29million gambling last weekend in an attempt to get a new stadium quicker. I think I've got close on 50mill in the bank now so I can splash out tonight. The challenge wall becomes very limited the higher up you get as well. And I can't believe the number of friendship requests I've had through, just to play cricket ... all of which I've rejected, as I don't see the point.
Well, in cricket, I've maxed out the advertising boards/drink stands, and patiently waiting for 15 million to upgrade the stadium... This I can see will take weeks to get...
And, like Tim, in the cricket I've been training everybody, bar the first batsman (trained to fcuk), and the first bowler (likewise)... Doesn't seem to make much difference, I still get gubbed on a regular basis!
Its fucking ridiculous, I am getting a load of friend requests from people I don't know who just want to gub me six times a day. They can all go fuck 'emselves. There's a guy on level 10 who has half his side at 1000+, no way can he have done this without either taking up all those reward offers or hacking it. It pays to lose, so I have started losing, challenging the few people at a higher level than me and banking the money, I need £200mill for the new stadium, only 150 mill to go!!

Don't worry about the cricket, I regularly lose matches there! :p
As for football, max out your stadium capacity (250,000), then train a goalkeeper and striker...

Don't think anyone's actually rejected my challenges, per se ... they just let them go unanswered for 48hrs until they drop off the radar.
It's the end of the line for me and this lovely young Pole, after he ignored my challenege earlier this week (admittedly, he doesn't seem to have logged into FB since and played anyone, but that's no excuse!!!)

I lost the will to even click 'accept challenge' when I lost game 46-0 to Berts Bandits, and Shug kept requesting a challenge from me as he knew his team was always going to beat me. No matter what I've done, I still find it impossible to get the team up to scratch. Actually, it's all gone pear since Jarvis took over in goal!:p
