Nick King wrote: Oh, and has anyone won or been beaten by a scoreline where a goal has been scored by both sides? Bizarrely, I can't think of a game where there's been a scoreline of (say) 4-3, 7-1, 75-1 (!)?

I got beat 3-2 last night after offering a 2million pound win bonus!

I figured it was just a 3-0 scoreline really, and the 'pooter stuck on a bonus goal for each million I'd offerred.

I'll offer even more next time.

Just had my 5th consecutive 0-0 against Nobby - whoever programmed this really needs to have a look at the parameters!

The same with Leggy. We all prefer the italian style. Al teached me with his offense two lessons today again.

The next games I'll try 4-4-2 instead of 4-2-4. So i hope to save money. I only have to train 2 strikers.

I moved away from 4-2-4. I suddenly wasn't sure what to do with my wingers. I mean, ideally, I suppose they should have high-scores for 'speed' and 'passing' (i.e.crossing) but then I figured I was thinking about the game too much and it probably wasn't that involved!!!

I think, if you play 4-4-2. You can better train the strikers and the midfield players can be mediocre, because they're four and it's narrow there. But my star player EMS is midfield, of course.

Just had a win against Tim in a cup match: 1:0 in regular time. But I only wanted to give him another penalty kicking nightmare.

They've just reverted back to three challenges only per day. :\ohwell:

The big favorite in The oldmonkey Invite Cup with a price money of £1,000,000 ÅFC Crouchender finished in the first round after penalty kicking. It was also Borussia Nobby's first win in Valhalla Stadium N8 ever.

I find that very hard to believe, Norberto.

Everyone knows the Germans are shit at penalties. :uhoh:

TBH, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing in cricket, apart from trying to save 15 million quid on a new stadium... Does it get any better than that? :)

At least with the football, you spend ya money to train the players... With the cricket, you've hardly any training points to use each time...

You're waiting for the other team in the final at the summercase cup, Nick. The other semi final is Me against Tim. But he's thinking this game will finish 0-0 and I'll win the penalty-kicking. So Tim doesn't play the game, at least now, and I can't start a new cup. :(

I've not had an invitation for this to start the match - the cup has jammed up. You've sent me two reminders but there has never been a link to play the game.....apparently it's quite a common bug in the cups.

I could start this game now and won on the green table.

Norbert Dewender has kicked Up The City! out of their Premier Football Cup Summercase Cup because they took too long to play your match against you. As a result, Borussia Nobby have advanced automatically to the next round

Oh, shit, I have a final against Nick.

Cos everyone's trained theirs better!! :nonono:

There's one lad I play day in / day out and he beats me 3,4,5-0 every single time and, to be honest, with this game I can't see there's any way I'll ever beat him. When I get a challenge from him I've stumped up to 10mill win bonus and swapped my formation around and it's still always the same result. He's got strikers of 3000 shooting and 2000 speed so I don't see how I can ever get close to him. My defenders are only a quarter of that speed. And by the time I got them up to 2000 speed he'd be up at 4000 speed. I can't win, no matter what.

Actually, I've not tried bribing the ref yet!! :uhoh:

Bribing the ref was detrimental to my results. But I hadn't extended my stadium to full capacity then.

I've been given 10 challenges today. It's becoming a chore using them as the application is so slow. But I'm scared of not doing and slipping further down the league.

I got to make 10 challenges this morning.

Training has gone expensive again though.

It is terribly slow, I think that's why I like it.

Like trimming a bonsai, there's no way you can rush it.

I walked to work today as well. It was lovely. The sun was shining and everyone looked cheerful. We all rush around too much. Everyone wants to talk about what you've not done yet, rather than wishing to share the experiences we have had.

I had 10. Couldn't use them all though as it kept hanging.

And the cricket wouldn't load at all.

Bollocks. :nonono:
