encourged by Rovers display today actually ,we gave it a really good go in the first half and but for poor finishing could have been up at half time, but in the later stages city always looked like scoring a few. From what i saw today if city can strengthen in defence they will be a force and push 4th place.Barry was good and boy do they have some real pace going forward with Bellers,Wright phillips and Teves

I have no doubt Lescott join them for £24m or something. And then I think Man City could actually be a major player this season. They have bought well. I take back my harsh critique from earlier posts, if they actually gel. But with the backlash from ALex Ferguson it could really galvanise the squad.

Getting rid of Elano is probably the most important transfer for them though. Bad lazy apple that one. What about Petrov? He was awesome but now he's forgotten (like Benjani).

yes forest ar epast 3rd round for 1st time in 5 years. beat boro aet. quite some feat considering they were one of only 2 teams to beat liverpool last season. and liverpool have won european cup about 5 times which means the result last night is up there with the best.

we use to have manager called Brian Clough but alot of folk called him Cloughie....blah...blah..blah..

we won the european cup 2 times in a row.....

were one of the oldest teams in the world......

we wear red at home...

Indeed, said sully walked amongst us peasant fans waving and cuddling grannies, then he did an ashley and sat a row away from me in the family stand, smiling cheering, was he watching the same game?.

as for the result,, bloody set piece got the shitty out of the city with a win,, and i have never heard 2500 load mouthed mancs sooo quite for a whole game:nod:

shall we sing a song for you

Two perfectly good goals disallowed though. Think we might get the shitty end of every ref's decision this season. All part of the game though, innit?

That Brown should have walked and Nugent should have scored. I declare that Biginoil real (tm) score for this game to be:

1-3.

A resounding win, then, for the Super Blues.

So then whats up with Mr Adebayor,,studs a bit to sharp were they ,?or was that spikes he was wearing to get him down to the ARSEnal end in double quick time,, dont see why he should get a bollockin for that one after the way the Bolton muppets celebrated in front of the Family stand saturday,, as for those stud marks though,, the F.a will certainly make an example .............

Atrocity exhibition

Van Persie deserved a kick to the face for the challenge he put in. Both should have gone for that incident. As for Adebayor and the celebration, running up to the Arsenal fans, I would have condoned one of the fans running on the pitch and hitting him across the head with one of the photographer's chairs

Toolbox/Diamond/Whatever you are now....I have to admit. I WANT Man City to do well (and its nothing to do with Lescott being in my fantasy team).

I really hope they (or spurs) can break into the top 4 for the good of the game. They have bought very well but what Adebayal(?) did at the weekend was atrosious. They cant afford to lose him with Santa and Tevez also out.

I was anti-man city at start of the season but ive become rational since.

Defeats this season in the league so far -

And your point is

3-0 to Arsenal last night, second tine we've beat them this year. Still only one game lost (away to Utd).

Worst season in years.

You draw too many games and keep losing leads. Adebeyer has forgotten where the net is. Still conceding silly goals.

Liverpool only lost 2 games last year and we all know what happened to them.

Good to see you win your first game in 8 last night. Good to see you put your best players out for the carling cup. first semi in 40 years. Go for it!

I'm not a Man City fan  Personally I don't see one defeat this season (so far), and reaching a cup semi final as rubbish. Especially as Man City haven't reached one for 28 years.

Maybe if Arsenal field a strong team then they might win something. Isn't it 4 years trophyless now?

yeah Arsenal need to end that Barren spell. But they got little in the way of attack with Van out.

Well done Man City. Youre fast making me eat my words. Big big result and top 4 place is up for grabs with Liverpool being piss poor.
