1930 tonight the club are making a statement on mark hughes future with the club,,, he did seem to be waving a lot at the crowd today.
when sol went up to lift the F.A cup, i was there.
i dont think its such a shame because hughes left us at rovers to go to a more money filled green lands as most our top people do.he should have waited for the united job!!! .now he's an unemployed manager.not like losing a job at a shut down steel works though is it ?
maybe 5 million pay off.weep for him not maybe !!
having said that i still like hughes and he did good for us at blackburn.hughesy hughesy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
new city appointment isnt very amazing though.really thought with endless amounts of money that they would have got ' the chosen one '..it should have been him because give him the money and they would be in top 2 next year for sure.also he's the only fella that can mess with fergie's mind ![]()
:aboelol:
m8 we could very well do with the 210 million hughsey spent,, just to keep us afloat.. however city are a big club and biginoil its too late.
how maNY Managers have passed through the gates,,,since big joe mercer ,, in that time pompey have won the F.A.. cup,, youve lost to stockport county....
GETTING AWAY WITH IT
There's a fair bit of dismay at this sacking, and I'm sure a fair bit of it is due to the fact that nobody wants a return to the revolving doors days. In fact, Managers at City probably get a few more months than they should because of this fact.
Hughes was always gonna be a caretaker. I reckon the new owners have been working on a replacement ever since they arrived.

I take it all back. The idiots who own Man City dont have a bleedin clue. why give the man £200m to spend in the summer and bin him after taking the club to one game away from a final and a chance of breaking the top 4? And didnt Man City beat Sunderland yesterday?![]()
The game yesterday was a shambles. Sunderland, like everyone else we've played recently, had the run of the midfield and our defence were hopeless. The only thing that saved us was massive talent up front, with four amazing goals scored. All the games we've drawn recently have been high-scoring against clubs with poor scoring records elsewhere.
The statement from the club was very clear - there is no evidence that this situation will change. Hughes had run out of ideas. His answer, simply to return to the market and buy more defenders, was crap and that's why he got sacked.
Mancini though?
He'd been touting his name around for months ending up on all sorts of shortlists and rapidly being ruled out.
I'd have expected Man City to have lined up someone with more va va voom.
Guess we'll have to see.

Three Italian titles with Inter? That's not bad, is it?
Shit in Yourop though.
The 'richest club in the world' achieve glorious back-to-back wins against two Midlands clubs who are both almost certain to finish in the bottom six, and now Mancini is claiming that City can "win the league". Jesus Christ - he thought Peter 'I used to manage Man City, y'know' Reid was Stoke's manager.
He looks good in that scarf, I grant you, but I reckon he's got it tied too tight. Lack of oxygen to the brain. Too many 'posh wanks', that sort of thing.

AH yes mr biginkippax,, once a red always a red,, so what are your feelings about Brian kidd who won the european cup on his birthday with a big club and then. left a big club as assistant manager before they won it again,, we liked our kiddo down at pompey must say.
were not going bust,
were not going bust
Again, I didn't see any of the game.
Turning into a farce now though, isn't it?
I'm going to the Bolton match, expecting fucking nothing as usual.
