The Eagles' Greatest Hits is, I believe, the best selling album of all time over here. Hence, severly overrated.

I have to add: Creed Hoobastank 3 Doors Down Nickelback

Especially Creed.
Nickelback ain't bad, but get too much airplay.

I'm sick of the American Idiot stuff too. "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is the best song on their, but other songs couldn't compare to their earlier stuff.

Boulevard was on such heavy rotation last year on the radio and everywhere else that I can't stand to even think about it. Holiday was much, much better imho, and easier to take on repeat listens when it became the main song on radio from that album

I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but it bears repeating that the Eagles are the most overrated band ever. Seriously, folks, they suck :evil4:

Never understood Green Day personally. Politics in Punk are suppose to be funny and/or clever, Green Day does neither.

I agree with the Eagles too, but Hotel California is one of the best songs ever recorded. . .everything else of thiers is Shite.

I think calling a song 'American Idiot' is both funny and clever. No problem with politics coming into music at all here; and I love 'Hail to the Thief' by Radiohead.

I don't mind them calling the song American Idiot, I am no fan of Bush, but I just got really really sick of hearing that song. It was way overplayed in the states.

Hate to quote myself, but... (and keep in mind, I like the Doors!) :thumb:

The Doors - For riding Jim Morrison's corpse into a misbegotten legacy that could see the former singer of the Cult try to fill the Lizard King's pants, for the mythology surrounding what was basically a second-rate poet and first-rate drunk, and for "Light My Fire" being used at some point in every single movie ever set in the 1960s, about the 1960s, or with any bearing whatsoever to the 1960s.

I think a lot of bands are overrated but Oasis and Van Halen come to mind right now.
