Aye - that'll be Paddy McALoonies Prefabricated Sprouts then...
not many people get the chance to walk up to him and call him a pretentious twat to his face however.... :D

yes, but you would do well to bare bear in mind the fact that he could never be as cheeky as Kylie! or at least, let's hope not! ![]()
Speaking of cheeky, how about Prince's gold lamé jumpsuit with the ass cut out?
Now that was cheeky.

reminds me of the band my friend Kim (not the one on this board, but another wunnerful friend called Kim) wanted to start. she'd call them "the Assless Chaps." and all would be androgynous girls. ![]()
sadly, someone stole her name idea already...and she's reasonably sure it *was* actually stolen, since it's people she vaguely knew at school in Phoenix... ![]()
next up: Prince & Kyle E. duet on an updated version of her late-80's smash hit cover of "Locomotion" ! just imagine the both of them dancing around in the video for it in their respective cheeky outfits! ![]()
perhaps i should go hide now. yep, definitely a good idea. :D
Originally posted by Gnu Odor I was once the drummer in an all-girl band. That was cool.
...so was the drummer in my current band. and i'm not making it up. 'course, he acts more...um, girlie, for lack of a better word...than a lot of girls i know. myself included. so this may explain things. ![]()

Saw them at Oxegen a couple of years ago, not exactly the worst pop band in the world.
ANYTHING EVER PLAYED ON THE DOWNTOWN SUNDAY MORNING REQUEST SHOW
not that any other station in this country plays anything better at that hour.
Well, I got a laugh out of reading this old thread, with the Martian in fine form, and the presence of some people who no longer frequent this place (Janaki, snucker, Kimberley, etc.)
Totally forgot about DoN not being able to stand Brimful Of Asha though.
Anything by Bryan Adams, the power of love by Jennifer whatever her name was, Celine Dion tracks, anything by Pete fing Doherty and by no mean least anything by Midge Ure
Blue Monday, especially when they do it live, mind you the Kylie sample really helps it along ![]()

IT'S FOOKIN' AWFUL !
I remember that,it's Malcolm McLaren, just after he introduced scratch and rap to these shores.
Some songs I want to consign to Room 101/outer space/a deep hole: Agadoo BLACK LACE The Birdy Song THE BIRDIES any JIVE BUNNY record any CRAZY FROG record any rap record apart from Grandmaster, and "The Real Slim Shady" oh and Missy Elliott Leader of The Gang GARY death row GLITTER I'll think of more,I've got a very deep hole.

had i known this (this thread being a few month before my time) i might have pushed him right off the empire state building.
i would do anything for love...but i won't do that by meatloaf. he never does tell us what he won't do, does he? that's not really fair, is it? not to mention it's a crap rock opera that's below even rick wakeman's level.
also, back in the late '80s i spent 8 hours driving from denver to santa fe with my parents after my mother had just received as a gift...wait for it...the barbra streisand box set. 4 cassettes of total barbra. the parents listened to it non-stop in the car on the way down--and, to make matters worse, they took the back way to santa fe, through taos. thank god i had my little walkman with the smiths' eponymous first album inside. unfortunately, that was all i had and by the end of the trip i hated the damn album. it was also -5 outside. imagine: a vehicle with nowhere to run, -5 degree weather, and 8 hours of barbra streisand. i had found dante's true inner circle of hell.

Yepp and in addition to that:
The Titanic Song by Celine Dion "Nothing compares to you" by Sinead O'Connor almost anything from A-HA Rap-Songs

Yeah, I've always liked that one a lot, but he listed it on the first page of this thread.
