Oh dear Ed. Am glad you got home safely anyway. I was so exhausted by the whole concert experience, I tried sleeping in my car for a bit before I drove home after I landed at Belfast airport.....sigh.... You going to any of the Re-order concerts Ed? Or see you at the next NO concert?

And so did BLT! :) I enjoyed every song. But I was kinda disappointed they didn't play EGG. I could have done without Run Wild though. :D

because i was in the first row!!!!!! 
i was there right in the noon and to my surprise i saw a lot of asian as well. in fact the WftSC tee is white- exactly like the cover. i think it's taiwan exclusive! i'll post it when i take the pictures of me in that tee some times later :)
too bad i didn't meet you.. i really want to! but i am quite small so if i can't get to the first three rows i can nearly see nothing :( (like in glasto... i couldn't get nearer just because of the coldplay fans so i could not see them clearly.. i was soooo upset about that :( in fact i still am.)
the hyde park concert was absolutely fabulous!!!! even though the people behind me kept squashing and sometimes i couldn't even sing or shout! and i saw lots of people were pulled out by the securities.. too bad for them. in fact, the securities kept walking around in front of us and saw if everyone's ok. i know there intention is good for me, but i was asked "are you alright" for more than 7 times i guess- i wanted to say "couldn't be better!!!!" but that'll take too much time so i just smiled and gave them the thumb up sign and then they would pat my head- i guess they think i'm still a little girl or something.
anyways.. i found bruises all over my body when i got back but still i made it from the very beginning to the end so i'm very proud of myself! i had a great time!!!! but they should sing more!! 15 songs is not enough and all of them are not so surprising 
still so exhausted since getting back from glasto.. i'm a small but tough girl! hehe.. thanks everyone who was there in hyde park. i hope i can meet you soon at their tour!! ( please do tour!!! >_<)
I could have done without Run Wild though.
YSF would have been a good replacement there, if they wanted to do a slower song.
Agree about EGG. That would have been tops.

maya i hope you're alright.. i hurt my right knee in glasto too. i got stuck in the mud and fell down for two or three times and it was hurt then. i can't work properly as well and got bruises everywhere! but after this, i believe i will survive in every other concerts :p
i don't know where to begin the review.. it's just brilliant! and btw it's my bday (didn't mention to my friends here at all..) so it was really great to see them live- BEST PRESENT EVER!!!!!

Reading your posts confirms what I think of festivals.. damn it, what's the point of going to a show and having to fight to survive all along and come home with bruises?!?! 
Since I saw people dying at Roskilde a few years ago, I think I learned to avoid those, so I'm happy to have seen 2 of the 3 non-festival gigs of this tour...
Note that I'm probably the guy you want to be around in a festival, usually people don't want to push me

Er, that's also what happens at New Order gigs IN-doors on this side of the pond, Nicos.
Only with a touch more ferocity probably because it's entirely 'their' audience, the environment is a lot hotter (being indoors) and it's usually dark (they were on in daylight at HP). Moshpit is obvioulsy more confined too.
Perhaps you can see why some of us are none too fussed with audiences in the US?!

What we have to remember here is that 1987 was 18 years ago! We are all a little older than we were then....The mosh pit at HP was one of the best for a while basically because it continued for some time and was mainly full of old(ish) blokes (and girls)! I for one enjoyed it alot, the bruises I am covered in are worth it! And I have not seen ballerina's quite like that before....!

believe me, the NO show(s) were definitely not normal concerts in the US, al. i've been to concerts on both sides of the atlantic and they're usually much more, erm, active in america. i went to a primus concert where the entire audience became a moshpit. i had to climb on top of a couch and grab on to a pole to escape--and i was quite far back from the stage, as well!

That's what bootlegs are for. Gigs are for getting bevvied, getting down the front and having a good time, unless you are recording it of course.

Well, I have quite a fun to be in the photo booth for both show I've seen, and in New York I was quite previldge to see the show on the side...
I prefer shows with reserved seats.. so you have your own space and you stand there and have fun...
I guess it's cultural.. I've seen worst.. the Cure in 2000 in Toronto, most people were SEATED through all the show and were going to get pizzas... in Montreal, everybody is up and dancing... or at least up!
