OOooohhhhh very touchy aren't we...? are you still tied?! The reason why i make fun is because i know exactly what it's like to learn and speak a different language than the one you have been brought up with....anyhow.. this is a NO website so I think that i should say something about the new album which is growing on me something chronic....(anyone want a copy?!?!! joke i am not going to send it to everyone) The best songs up until now are I told you so...(sorry yuki) and jetstream is starting to get very addictive....

It seems among japanese fans,WFTSC is the most popular track at the moment.

I liked all the songs that they played. I liked i told you so and working overtime in particular. Now i cant wait for the whole album:)

Now listening to Krafty and Jetstream, and reading the lyrics of Waiting For The Sirens Call, I think I get the idea behind Krafty cover by Peter Saville. Assuming the information we got about singles releases area right: 1st = Krafty 2nd = Jetstream 3rd = Waiting for the Sirens Call All this song has one thing in common, the references about means of transportation. On Krafty, “Sitting in a car and driving down the road…” On Jetstream, away from the title, “My plane will be arriving shortly…” Finally on Waiting for the Sirens Call, “What does this ship bring to me…” Conclusion: if Krafty has a highway with some cars on the cover, I assume that Jetstream cover will contain a sky with airplanes, and Waiting for the Sirens Call cover will include a harbor with some ships. Don’t ask me about the album cover… Am I flying to high?

Waiting for the Sirens Call

(Sorry for my english) I heard the 4 songs from New Order on the BBC radio 1 and I took all the other new songs on the Internet. My opinion. 'Sirens' Call' will be an album for a larger public who like different kind of music and groups like Coldplay, The White Stripes, Kylie Minogue, The Smiths or Frank Ferdinand. It's an album for 2005 with great ballads. It's an album between the albums 'Technique' and 'Republic'. It's a good one I think and I'll buy it for sure in april. I like a lot the songs 'I told you so', 'Who's Joe' and 'Jetstream'. I'm a real fan of New Order. I can't compare the new one with the other albums but my best are Technique, Get Ready, Low-Life and Substance.

I'm still unable to connect to the legal songs so I'm still fasting, but it is the Lent period after all, and one has to make sacrifices.

My personal favourites are 1.I told you so(the first ever raga track I liked) 2.Dracula's Castle(It makes me cry,despite the song title) 3.Jetstream(the sound texture is very contemporary)

First songs I've heard, other than Krafty and if these are three of the lesser tracks then this album should be one of their best. I really like Working Overtime 8-10, reminds me of Warsaw. I Told You So is alright, nothing special 5-10. Now Jetstream for sure will be a hit, if promoted properly 9-10. It does start out slow (maybe a remix will correct this), but makes up for it with the chorus, J-E-T is very catchy and the Sissor Sisters girl does a good job singing with BS. I can't wait to hear Turn and the Title Track since these are supposed to be the better tracks from the album.

Ok a few more listens to the Siren Call title track and I do love those two hanging notes and the intro/verse vocal line despite the bad lyrics... if you killed the awful chorus you might be getting a little closer to the fragile adult pop of Yo La Tengo, who is still the only group working in this area who are aging gracefully... imagine how elegant NO would be if they were playing like YLT... as a minimal three piece with all of their frailty on show... they would be... fantastic

Listening to them again. i liked them more. seems to lean on the poppy side. overtime sounded great this time. and jetstream sounded good too. in fact...I'm going to go out and find my own jetstream lover tomorrow. and you thought music didn't matter...

You have to think of the packaging as well. This looks to me like it's going to be similar to the cover of the Sigur Ros Album "()", with a sleeve over the jewel case.

I agree about losing the text at the top, but all in all I like it....I think....

i'm resisting listening to too much before it finally comes out but having listened to each track (except krafty) once i liked 'em.

i can definitely hear Electronic's 'Visit Me' in 'I Told You So'

if these are the 4 worst songs then a great album it will be...

Exactly what I thought. Even "I Told-You-So" can be sung in the place of "I-Saw-The-Sign", although they have very different melodies and chord sequences. :)

C'mon. It's original and from what I just heard, these tracks are just great. Welcome back New Order!

My Mom (58 years old) loves Krafty and I prefer Turn.

Love Working Overtime, very Lou Reed. I'm trying not to listen to Krafty anymore because the song is too catchy and is already stuck in my head. I think it has a chance of being a hit in America if it wasn't for the reference to 'violence, wars and killing too' which means those bastards Clear Channel won't play it.

I Told You So is alright, but I'm not so sure about Jetstream. The music's good but the chorus is kind of weak.

I don't understand why anyone would say New Order have lost it. I think if anything they've returned to form. Republic had horrible, thin, plastic-sounding production. Get Ready was great and this album sounds like it will be too. You can't expect them to revolutionize popular music again. They're gettin old.

for me turn is the best song on the album, that has to be released!!

ummm, i'm pretty surpised at some of the comments here. the new materials sounds very good and yes, it's a grower.

asking for them to product another technique is like asking u2 to records another achtung baby. just silly;-)

if anything, i'd describe the new tunes (i have only heard the 4 on the bbc site) as very catchy and poppy.

bring on late march i say!
