Hi Yann, you must be a little disappointed to return and find 1.5 pages of intelligent discourse and 5.5 pages of wiener gags but that's par for the course here sometimes.
As for your suggestion that some members continued on so far it became suspect, well who knows? There appears to be a huge wad of posts by our Washington correspondent which people may or may not read something into.

well as someone who frequented the hacienda back in the early to mid eighties id say that the whole factory scene not just new order was flirting with disco/gay/hiphop/electro whatever ya wanna call it. i spent many a happy night at the hac dancing to "confusion" which i still think is one of their best dance efforts to date. (hear it full belt in a club)believe me it take on a life of its own. as for the gay issue,watch the confusion video and check out barneys keks it just might make you think twice. and even if one of em was who would care really?

There are several instances in which Barney does appear in white disco shorts, but he also has performed in his underwear - didn't someone once post up those pictures on here?
Anyway, I figured I'd reply to this thread eventually. I've never thought of New Order as a gay band - or even Depeche Mode as a once - but just as a band making good dance music. Now, I've never been to a gay disco, so I don't know what kind of music would be played there, but hopefully it's better than the crap getting played at a straight top-40 club.

*I don't think so, Nic. Girls just love the Pet Shop Boys, (more than males), and they know that they have a varied audience. I think you have more chances of getting a bird with a PSB shirt (the girl just thinks "he looks so sensitive with that PSB roses shirt, he's just so cute, he's just so SEXY!) than wearing an AC-DC T shirt, that's macho music and the most of the girls hate it, actually metal is the true gay music (just look at those ridiculous long haired leathered fans embraced together and shacking their heads). ;)

I'm not immediately sure about the meaning of "gayish." Is that somewhat gay? Or is it the language spoken by gays?
