I'd sure hate if anyone tried to make that connection, flawed as it is. :D

I wouldnt even attempt it

No. I've got gloves.

Northwest, U.S.

Grab hold, then.

Pats, I'm going to have to slip through your fingers. It's late and I'm off. It's been a pleasure as usual.

Ta ta, DC.

Perhaps even a little bit more than usual.

Didn't the band once ask Rob Gretton "What music are we into, Rob?" and he replied "Yer into gay disco"? I don't think you can give music a sexuality but obviously most of the original dance music came out of the gay clubs and edged the band away from the heavy JD sound. I think Hooky's reeled off some anecdotes about New Order going to gay clubs and them being the only straight folk in there. I don't really like bands who blatantly use their sexuality to sell records, PSB's kinda maintained their dignity/privacy there but the Scissor Sisters are nauseating. They may as well rub their crotches in yer face. Camp overtones or actions in music can be funny, but they totally overdo it. Same with Elton John there.

It'd be funny if Hooky or Barney turned out to be popular gay sex symbols  Kylie is, isn't she? Whereas her arse is a heterosexual sex symbol.

Ally.

I just cannot imagine Barney sucking a cock or smuggling a bone. Then again I can see Hooky getting a bj from a guy while drinking a beer and laughing about it.

Damn, 4 pages long.

I think it depends on what sort of music you make. Of course it would be weird to see New Order or The Cure behaving like Village People, but that was OK from a gay disco band, as it is for the Scissor Sisters... I think that if any New Order member was bi (not gay, as they certainly have women at least), he wouldn't hesitate to say it, they never gave a shit about the reaction to their words and always have been honest in interviews. Anyway they've always been friends of lefties, blacks and gays since the Joy Division days (not to mention the weekly gay night at the Hacienda, on Thursdays I think), and that should have been enough to piss on those ridiculous Nazi charges...

2 hours I'm gone and look what this thread has become. Proves my theory that every man is a potential gay though :D

Are the Pet Shop Boys gay??! :uhoh:

Tell me about it, when I saw them live in 1990, I wasn't aware of that fact, I was wearing proudly my t-shirts with roses on it at school the next day... then I read the press review of the show talking about Gay disco

Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I'm not sure it's the image you want to show when you are single and looking ;)

At least respectful (I didn't read the rest of the thread yet.

As for Johnny Marr, my co-webmaster here, Sébastien, was 100% sure Johnny Marr was gay, so I was sure of it too, he found out in an interview that he wasn't just a couple of years ago...

But I'm with you there.. who cares what kind of sex life they have :D

I just cannot imagine Barney sucking a cock or smuggling a bone.

I simply can't compete with that style of prose. I'm going to agree with twist on this one.

P, you still sporting that rope? The boss was riding me but I'm back now. Talk about "casual Friday"...

Hi Babe.

Definitely, LE. It may even have dried out a bit by now.

However, I'm afraid DC has gone to bed. The rodeo will not be the same without him.

Hello, LE! What time is it there?

1 p.m., 49 degrees, there's a storm in the sky passing over and it looks like it's going to be strong

Well, wake him up before you go-go.

1990 was before Neil actually came out, but I think it was very much known, like with George Micheal.

You think I have his telephone number, LE? He's a very private person. We know nothing about him, apart from the fact that certain subjects seem to interest him somewhat more than others. And that he claims to live in Western Australia. He actually mentioned Perth today.

Noone is more private than you are, P! ;)

Not familiar. Is that what Barney calls a handbag?
