DC and I had a dispute today, M, about which of us was more private. We turned to H for a decision on the issue, and he declared it a tie.:(

He actually mentioned Perth today.

Not familiar. Is that what Barney calls a handbag?

I believe it's a city in Australia.

Maps in Idaho are actually etched in large rocks. Very tough to read.

Was a bad attempt at a joke given the title of this thread and how Perth would sound like purse...

Oh nevermind...

Thats OK, it's been a long day. It's often hard to tell when things are jokes, especially on Friday afternoon...

Actually, now that you explain it, it IS funny, although not entirely PC

Indeed it does.

I was laughing when I wrote it but, no - it's not all that correct. That's why I threw in Barney, given the great gay debate of the day.

But where is the man who started all this?

Tokyo. Is 5 a.m. there. Has a lot of catching up to do right out of the gate I'd say.

So LE you know everything about the time zones. I thought the difference between me and America was either 6 or 9 hours but you seem to be 8 hours behind. You learn something every day. :)

Do I sense a poll question brewing??

either 6 or 9 hours

Six if you're in, say, New York and 9 if you're in Los Angeles. We're in Denver's time zone (MST). Here, I got this yesterday when I wanted to know what Belgrade was.

The continental U.S. has 4 time zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific. Alaska is 1 hour earlier than the Pacific timezone, and Hawaii is two hours earlier than Alaska.

The only poll I have ever done is now on page 14. I don't want to spoil my record.

Like Jerry Seinfeld's 9-year run without throwing up. Streaks are important. I respect you for that.

Was it in California at a gig in 89 when Barney said "We got any fags in the audience tonight? But we're New Order and we don't care." He was probably pissed, mind!

I suspect I will probably be too afraid of failure to ever do a poll again.

Seeing as I've never done one, I think I'd go the safe route to get my feet wet.

Which is better:

A) Turn B) Rock the Shack

If that went well, I might be hooked on the junk.

Yes, but what you want is LENGTH. Or perhaps thickness.

Ah, look: We've come full circle. Perhaps DC will be waking soon. Little early for a weekend, I imagine.

And 3:30 here which is quitting time on a Friday.

Have a good weekend and be prepared on Monday to join the class in a discussion on why Axl Rose wanted his flamboyant cover version of YSF included on the GnR greatest hits ... er ... package.

See ya then, Loren, although I'm not so sure about the weekend assignment.
