I like all the songs metioned except guilt, never should have made it. It doesn't even have a good chorus. I recommend more work with primal scream. there last two albums are incredible!:music:

I forgot to add TURN, most generic new order song ever.

Agreed again, some of their best instumental work.

i like state of the nation on the second disc of substance.

WIFM - "there is no question about it"

or

'"Run Wild" though I'm not sure about that one - the girly loves it, knows all the lyrics and gets rather 'cuddly' whenever she hears it! New Order as an aphrodisiac? Odd...

And I really must defend SOTN and Shellshock - they were the outstanding tracks of the years they were released. Perhaps not New Order's best, but seeing them on The Tube, etc was great after waiting for the new album...

I think Barney really loves jetstream....well judging by his dancing at glasto hes well into it.

Sub-culture 12 inch.A gamble that didnt pay off!

thank god some other people like sotn, I was beginning to think i was the only one. Its not ultra-classic but those the funky disco guitars are great- and it contains the finest example of grunting as percussion, which bernard sadly does not do anymore. as for never recorded... its all part of life's rich tapestry innit?

I liked state of the nation.

I think turn my way is a good one too but some ppl are against me on that one.

I don't see how ppl like Crystal over that song but hey...to each his own.

I agree Sub-culture 12 inch wasn't their best but still a decent effort.

Rock the Shack ROCKS! I can't beleive so many people dislike this song. Do you not like noise rock mixed with melody? Do you have something against Primal Scream? Have you ever listened to Brotherhood?! And while I'm at it, whoever said 'Love Vigilantes' should have their NO fan club membership revoked. Nuff said.

Exactly....Nobody bought it,so it was a failed stratagy.Hopefully,we will never hear the likes of Jetstream ever again..There has been the odd duffer along the way,tho non quite as embarrassing as J-E-T(feat.The sissor sisters terrible singer Ana Matronic)WTF is all that about?

Please, leave turn my way alone! good tune! my pick for the category is a tie between shellshock, and sub-culture. What were they thinking???

Just out of curiosity, What do people have against "Turn My Way"? Maybe as a Smashing Pumpkins fan, I am biased, but why the hate?

Man, so many people hate Rock the shack, turn my way, and fine time. Well, Rock the shack and Fine time are in my top five new order songs. Why don't we all just hate guilt because it has a horrible chorus (its a let down!) I like parts of it though. But rock the shack is pure rock, reminds me of the stooges and velvet underground. I also like working overtime, but not as much as rock the shack. Now, they should never have made Jetstream the way they did. I think if they had made it differently, with different lyrics it could have been better. I love the bass on it, and the small bit of guitar, but thats it. Maybe Bernard should listen to Hooky more, because Hooky seems to not like Guilt or Jetstream. Ok, now when will they do more music like twisted tenderness. :D

Turn my way-a great song lyricly, melodicly, and it rocks. This is the kind of song that makes songwriters jealous. The first time I heard it, I was expecting to hate Billy Corgans whiney voice, but even that sounds good. Are you people judging these songs on how good they are, or are just comparing them to old school new order? Do you have to be able to dance to it at the club, or what? Cause if new order were playing these songs live at the club, I would certainly be dancing, and I bet the whole place would be.
