No, because most of the Nazi's were hung at the Nuremburg Trials (or escaped to Peru). So to be a genuine Nazi in 1979 you'd have to be a least 62 years old. You may be alluding to the Nazi "symbolism" in Joy Division's music and sleeve art, and some casual throwaway remarks made in an interview (pop stars do make things up having had the same questions asked them seventeen times in a day eg The Vapours "Turning Japanese " is not about masturbation) Anyway, naming your band after a book by Yehiel De-Nur doesn't make you a Fascist. Or perhaps they were a piss-taking bunch of chancers who liked to wind up narrow minded bigots . It's what were good at oop-North.

and i read that Ian voted for the Conservative party, isn't that the English Nazi party? Yes and after tea with the Queen on Sunday, we all goto basements in Soho to indulge in sado-masochistic sex sessions with prostitutes . Ooop, sorry, thats just Max Moseley

in the words of Alan Partridge"..I mean I could go on" and " needless to say, I had the last laugh"

The Conservatives did gas thousands of miners between 1984-85 in death camps, but you won't find that in many history books!

I thought most working class folk in the north of England were Nazis, i saw the documentary about the BNP fighting all the Muslim dudes in Blackburn, and Skrewdriver were part of the Manchester scene yeah?

I am shocked to hear about the extermination of the miners, totally shocked dude! That must have been a drag for their kids. I'm just glad i live in the free world, Britain and Europe seem so medieval man!

Who is Alan Partridge? Is he in Margaret Thatcher's cabinet?

Damnit! That means that not only can I not blame you for WWII, but I can't pin the DX7 (Japan's greatest post-war sin) on you either.

Dude, theres been like 3 films about Joy Division.... There was talk of a musical in another thread, but apparently Paul Young won't give permission to let them use 'Love will tear us apart' as it's the centerpiece for 'Come back & Stay- The Paul Young Story', currently being directed by the Coen Brothers. :p

... or live in Germany as your neighbour with a normal life. Someone found out this week, an old man, who lives in Duisburg, killed as a soldier a jew a few days before the end of the war, because this jew was tired and couldn't walk anymore. He is now accused.
