What an fucking brilliant nite.
Party was a blast too, apologies for anyone who had to witness my method of dancing!
Was hoping to meet Barney but I managed to meet Ste, Gill, Phil C, Mani & Tim Burgess so its all good. Still buzzing off it. 24 hour party people!
I fucking ripped it off some fucking bastard who took my fucking money and never gave me a fucking book.

Enjoyed the gig.it got mad down the front for second half,i can hardly walk now.
Norbert was like a fucking crazed runaway horse in the mosh pit,he even jumped around to BLT acoustic version 
At the after party thing i talked and had a laugh with phil cunningham ,smashing chap and he confirmed he has NEVER lived in Oswaldtwistle as barney said he had on finsbury park video.

The star of the show for me was Jake, who handled his big fucking rockstar guitar like a big fucking rockstar and sings like an angel. The balcony was the only place to properly appreciate Norbert’s excellent dancing, but me and Jim headed downstairs to where the rest of our lot were standing. The banter was excellent and everyone seemed happy with the performance. The BL tracks went in well and the New Order tracks were great, with the notable exception of the toe-curling acoustic BLT. Give it a rest, eh lads? Crystal sounded great, and the bass player got some really high notes out of his 4 string bass for the Hooky-alike solo. Overall, the sequenced parts were supportive of the live performance rather than dominating. Out of Control/Temptation was a triumph; Barney’s guitar bits made me go a bit weak at the knees. Canadia spilled my pint and kissed boys and then it was time to go. We met Andy Rob on the way out, it’s always a nice touch that he comes to say hello. The afterparty was good and most of the band showed up. I said hello to Phil and had a nice chat with Jake, who is such a nice bloke that I think I am on the brink of fancying him. Roger Lyons graciously ignored my initial fan-boy squeak of ‘I’m a big fan’ and chatted away. Everyone seemed really appreciative of the praise I was drunkenly heaping onto them and they were all asking whether we will make it to Hamburg on the 4th Dec. On the strength of last night’s performance I’m certainly going to try. It was good to see everyone on such good form and I really enjoyed the gig. It was a great night, but a very long one and I am ashamed to say that I fell out of the door without saying cheerio to anyone. Sorry about that. I was four hours late for work this morning and I feel absolutely terrible. Got some great pics and a good video of Norbert dancing. Will post them somewhere later. :dead:

Great turn out as already mentioned, which saves me struggling to recall everyone's names.
My not drinking much before the gig plan was even shorter lived than Carlos's cameo appearance
Everyone was on great form,
good to see the two new dads(Monty and Al) haven't been overly domesticated, though perhaps I could have done without hearing the poop/bath tale
Got a big hug from PHD, you don't look a day over 39 babes:p
Loads of compliments from Rosie and Julie, I'm sure the girls must have had a bet on that they could make me blush 
If so it was an admirable effort but I'm just not the blushing type.
Foolishly I thought Biginoil's severe arm with it's soggy end would be the most bazaar sight in the pub,
as banshee was sans mask, and it was far too early doors for the rolly-pollys to start,
but low and behold faux Bavarians in lederhosen complete with handy wipe towels attached to their crotches out did the noolers in the 'you don't see that every day' stakes
Big thumbs up for them.
Other highlights included
pint glasses with built in grips, Love it!
Politics and cigarettes with the faux Bavarian,
Giving Jemma a stern no raspberries lecture,
Being mistakenly told off by Leggy for not having him on FB, I checked this morning and I do
Hearing interesting interpretations about which of my boys I was with, who was an ex, and their rivalry for my affections
None of the above btw, they are just friends
(that I may or may not have fucked at some point natch )

Top, top night. The crowd were (perhaps predictably) a little subdued during the BL songs, but IMHO Sink or Swim, This is Home, and Twist of Fate stand comparison with the best of NO's latter work.
Things livened up considerably after a mid-set lull and the finish was barnstorming.
Jake looks like a rock star in waiting and has a tremendous voice.
Well done Barney and the boys - I thought these nights had gone forever. Can't wait for the next one.

fuck me that was a good night, the boys were on top form. Really enjoyed the whole gig and the BL tracks were storming live. But the real treat was tighten up, out of control and a superb version of Temptation. This was Barney on really top form. Was right down at the front going crazy and my legs ache today. Presumably there were other New Order onliners around me but I was too busy singing to speak to anyone. I was the one in the True Faith Blue t-shirt. Best gig and night out in ages. Missed the after show as had to get back to Derby. Been playing the BL album all day today and its a real grower. Looking forward to the next time I can catch them
