If you must know, I wasn't on any guestlist as I was working. But I still had time to watch some and in my opinion it completely sucked.

I care. But I loved the Freebass output (and the BAd Loo output too!).
So... if Hooky is the star, which he is, why not reform Freebass with other bass players. Although not from Manchester, John McVie's bass on the last Fleetwood Mac album, Say You Will, is brilliant.

That edition of TOTP was the best ever. It also featured Orbital straight out of Pizza Hut first time live, and I think it had Adamski on it, when he was good, til he met that Seal bloke.

no my point was Barney had done it all a year before when New Order did Fine Time on TOTP.Though really they had done it 5 years before with their TOTP appearance doing Blue Monday,possibly, i've had a lot of wine now and am getting a bit muddled

Oh yeah of course.I agree. I always felt sorry for 18 year old Roses and Mondays fans who had missed out on the classic New Order gigs of early to mid eighties.Poor souls. And, obviously, the best British band of the late 80s and early 90s was, of course, House Of Love.HOL pissed all over Stone Roses.
