Over at PeterHook.co.uk, Hooky has responded to the recent best wishes of the fans. "This is great news and I want to say a huge thank you to all the fans who have contacted me so quickly to express their disappointment at buying tickets for a “New Order” line-up which didn’t feature myself. I have told them it's a great cause, raising money for Michael Schamberg's ongoing medical support has my full support" Peter Hook Sept ‘11

But it's unfortunate that this wasn't his initial response.

Sadly, "full support" doesn't mean he's now playing bass instead of Chappy. It doesn't even mean The Light are the support act. It probably means he has no legal recourse to stop it.

Let the healing begin?

I actually thought the 'great news' for Hooky was all the fans reaching out to him. Did I read that wrong?

I don't think this means the band relationship has started to heal though.

Lost in translation.

I put a question mark to suggest that they're not healing. Hooky's just saying the right thing because he's realised this battle has been lost.

The statement can be interpreted as ticketholders were being duped into buying New Order concert tickets under the assumption that Hooky was involved. He then must explain that it's for a good cause so he's all for it.

The show poster and all the concert promotional materials (which are all over the Bataclan and Ancienne websites) have the specific participants listed in huge font on it. I really hope Hooky's not seriously claiming that people were confused as to his participation in the event...
