I've woken the neighbours up, blasted highpressure coffee through every passageway in my head, spat my ciggie out, back blasted a bong and rebooted my windosw machione, all because of various things that howling nutter has said.

Never in my life have I laughed so hard at one person, not even Barney or Hooky (the BS/PH double act is funnier than Jem I admit, but only just)

She must smell really bad or something, it's the only pluasible explanation for her not having her own harem of fake-firemen and body builders and other mentally challenged men for her to...well... OR maybe all the men in Bolton are too stupid to see her for what she is....or they are all unspeakable dullards. (can't imagine that...I mean Fred Dibnah, come ON!)

I don't even know what it is...it's just one of the "think down to some other program's level" options in the Holy Cubase.

Why did u wanna know, do u intende sending such a file?

BTW...I hate Jem because once, if we'd run a Funniest NOOLer poll, I'd have been in with a shout....now...LOL she'd walk it.

You know you're dedicated to getting samples when you're on dialup.

Many thanks for that link, Gnu.

I remember a bank of samples that came with an old shareware midi program I had.. cicra 96/97, and there were four full length songs contributed by various musicians - I believe there was a track by OMD, know for sure there was one by Kurt Harland of Info Soc - all lost when I lost the cd, but love the treasures you can find on a lot of that old junkware that was handed out freely because people wanted to share their new hobby.

So I sit around and collect samples a lot, trying to refind the things I've lost due to time.

Mass compliments are different than your sweet telling you it . I hear it from him everyday, but it's.. rare? to be told en masse. So, I thank you guys for making me smile so much today. Hopefully, I return the favor tenfold.

That Oberheim Prommer? Chewed up whatever was put into it. We called him Meaty because he wouldn't/couldn't hold his samples for transfer, just mash them up like a meat grinder. We got him for 50$ at some resale shop, and were just initially going to use him for learning purposes... he learned us well. :D

I think he'd just been abused by his former owner.. I have a contact who smashes his gear up if they flake out live. I think he's a bit mental.

Funny I know piss outta my bass but am gentle with my machines....ANd have to have their long dead cold corpses trailed from my wailing arms when the end finally comes.

Glad to hear he tells you that BTW, we wouldn;t want the Angels having to add another name to the shitlist.

The cleverest/stoopidest things I ever did all revolve round a Boss Dr100 beat box.

We used to connect it's trigger out to the moog and play covers of EGG and Temptaion...it took me 15 years to find out that's exactly how NO had done those tracks originally, but with a DR55 and an ARP. My real triuph was turning it into an electronic drum kit....built pads for it using photograohic papaer and tinfoil. ran wire onto the contact pads for the keys. It worked a treat...but I can't solder very well...and I never ever finished it...it sat in it's lashed up form for months then fell apart. :(

every now and then I would power up the body, put a lead in it and drag metal over the back of the board.....amazing noises...but then one day it didn;t power up any more :(

That's MacGyver class stuff there. :)

I've been thinking about trying to build my own electric violin. I've had this thing for so long, and it's cheaply made anyways so I figure.. why not make use of it as a science project.

I've had luck with rebuilding radios and odd parts for older computers (my own solder skills aren't very pristine) but am a bit nervous tackling this sort of job without more extensive research.

Well, it's either make it electronic for playing normal, or think of a way to make it a trigger for samples that then play themselves out on a keyboard but, yeah, lots of reading will need to be done so I don't fry myself (again)

Working with the Prom and tinkering seemed so much easier a tackling.

Memo to self: ask Wen Order how much he'd charge to design a tasteful Swollen Nutsack Soul Squadron logo.

Score yourself a Zeta MIDI violin. Apprently they don't actually totally suck balls....I'm not sure I believe it....pitch-to-midi like voice synthesis and voice recognition is a technological backwater and has been since the mid 1980's :)

Now I can't stop thinking the badge is going to need some grotesquely engorged pair of *coughs* with the letters 'S.N.S.S.' engraved on top. Red enamel to fill in the letters, black and chrome for the erm.. :evil4: .

Might look pretty wicked.

OK, let's get this straight... (I'm really gonna hate myself for this)

If you are eating, stop.

SNSS, happens to also BE, as you may be away, Slightly Narrow Sound System... the name under which me and Rich Hayes (along with all sorts of nutjobs) make awful noise. And owing to a really annoying thing best described as my sweat glands being alergic to themselves, I myself am more often then not, the proud owner of a scrotal area worthy of "buster Gonad and his unfeasably large testicles". Thankfully this is just colateral damge to the skin and no bollox are hurt in the making of this agony.Strangley the girl who took my cherry called my "buster" years before any such affliction....but let us not go there.

RIGHT! There goes ANOTHER wireless keyboard, almost dead due to volcanic eruptions of water from my mouth, ejected at high speeds from forceful laughter.*

Oh, wait, I've got a spare. Lucky me.

:evil4:

I offer my condolences to your sack, Steve. :baloon:

* note, I'm laughing at the way you put this, and not at the condition itself.
