I used to feel the same way about Dylan, could'nt figure out what any of the fuss was about.

Then I heard "blood on the tracks" which quickly became one of my top ten favorite albums ever. it has a vibe like none of his others that came before it, and its a deeply emotional record with 0 political ramblings. I recommend everyone check it out and you might be pleasently suprised.

Yeah, I mentioned the Eagles when I started this thread. I think their greatest hits album is the best fucking selling album of all time!

I think the Jam are pretty overated really, Im not a fan at all. From what I've heard, Town Called Malice and Going Underground are the only half decent songs

I've always liked "Down in the Tube Station at Midnight" and "In the City." The Jam were much better as a punk band.

Yeah but the NME is different now, they seem to have so much influence at the moment. It seems as though any band they single out to promote instantly becomes the new 'in' thing without any question. Whatever NME says is cool becomes cool. The Bravery are a perfect example of this and then the NME turned on them and now they're ridiculed. (I realise this is not always the case and plenty bands are popular simply because they're good)
