Well here's the road map and route from Calais to Carhaix, just short of 400 miles, and will take around 6 hours. Eurotunnel crossings with car from Folkestone won't take very long, and are cheaper than a ferry!

Carhaix-Plouguer. Has to be a road trip now, flights and trains are extortionate!

I've got my Eurostar refund through (couldn't go on the 21st as originally booked), so will defo be up for a road trip if we can find a willing driver! I shall provide the beer, entertainment and petrol money!

Well, it was you who convinced me, but Alex talked me through some options. So we are doing the Exeter - Brest thing. Arriving Brest at 1545 on the Friday, what time do you arrive?? Going to hire car and pick it up at airport - and before you have any concerns about me driving on other side of road, Greg will be doing it!!

Sorted. I'm booked on the 13.55 flight from Exeter. Was thinking about getting the 8.35 train from Paddington to Exeter, should be plenty of time, or maybe the 7.30. You can never predict rail delays though!

I dont think there is a meeting point for the "French Order". I am not even sue there is a French Order. As for myself, I will be working on the 22nd and wont have the chance to catch up w/you guys. i'm trying to come, even if i don't like this festival.... It's not easy because my father wants to see them too, but he 's working. And i feel a little bit guilty to go there without him...i know No thanks to him...it's unfair.... i don't know what to do !

Who else is playing at this festival and are the Order near the top of the bill ???

Deep Purple are headlining, the Order are the only others I have heard of, I think!

I don't know if the playlist is in that order, because the site of "les vieilles charrues" is quite elusive, like the france inter one, but the transmission is from 21h to midnight (don't forget france is gtm +2 hours, or something like that, I'm not sure)… [France inter use the windows Media player, by the way] I'm gona try to make a link ( ) http://www.radiofrance.fr/chaines/france-inter01/direct/ you just have to click on "ecouter en direct" or maybe you should try http://www.radiofrance.fr/ and then go to france inter… Just in case you can't go to the festival, of course.

In case anyone is interested, New Order will *probably* play from 23.30 PM to 00.45 AM. Yes : 75 minutes! Not so bad. Hm.. as much as Deep Purple.

France Inter will broadcast the gig until midnight (i.e. 11PM UK time), so don't expect much from this...

This festival is really awful, crowded with more beer-fans than music-fans, but hey, it's 60 kms from here.

No, you were right in the first place it is GMT+2, but as we are now on BST which is GMT+1, the correct time is both GMT+2 and BST+1. As we now synchronise clock changes with Europe there is never a 2 hour time difference between the UK and France.

Nic, you can't make sweeping generalisations about the French, they're a set of touchy buggers who'd get upset if you confuse the regions. This ignorance of this shows your claim to being French is as bad as Shugs claim of being Scottish. :D

The festival is in Normandy where Cider is v. popular as is the Calvados. Have a good 'un lads.
