Hi everyone! Just got home from the concert. Absolutely amazing. Thank goodness it didn't rain anymore than it did already.

when they walked on, was it me, but did the rain stop? Bizarre Love Triangle to me was the highlight along with Transmission.The word'professional' screamed out at me from every angle.The JD songs were done to perfection,shame Moby didn't do NDF but i can understand why.one of those nights that go down in history i suppose,and i'm an old git who remembers 'at a later date' etc.................BLISS.
well id not ventured into the mosh pit for a long time but tonight i did and it was fuckin awesome.gonna have many aches and pains in the morning!

Love Vig at third track didn't quieten the front few rows so it was non stop until Run Wild at track seven.
True Faith at number five followed by Transmission

Just listened back to the Xfm broadcast.The start of True Faith sounded pretty messy as was most of Run Wild and it sounded like Bernard had lost interest in Shes Lost Control.Cant remember any of that down in the mosh!.Hooky did pay respects to us moshers or rather "for fuck`s sake you must be over 40 all of you ya daft bastards!".
Bernard was slightly out of order when he had a go at "wank faced journalists" seeing as just a few months ago he was kind of saying thanks to NME at the awards for helping them when they first started out as Joy Division.But maybe he was referring to that unfathomable review of WFTSC the NME reviewer gave.
Anyways the gig was a great laugh down in the pit
I wasnt holding my breath tonight for a great show but it was excellent. The crowd down at the mosh pit (never seen anyone mosh at NO gig before) were well up for it and NO were great.
Best gig I have seen yet out of 6 in the past twenty years.

I think it's incredible that they've been using that. Morricone's scores - particularly those for Leone's films - are superb and just amazing for introducing the band. The only thing that could be better would be the main theme from THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY or the song from its soundtrack called "Ecstasy of Gold". The latter might be even better. But hey, I'm not complaining. :D

Moshing or slam dancing is a type of dance characterized by jumping around and or pushing others to loud heavy metal or punk music. Moshing is popular with young rock, punk, screamo, and metal fans, especially heavy metal and nu metal fans.
Slam dancing is a closely related form of dancing characterized by its aggressive nature: the movements consist of violent contact with other dancers, swinging the arms and legs,kicking and punching into the air and jumping in a staccato fashion to the beat of the music. Stage diving and crowd surfing are another form of moshing. The contact with other dancers may range from reasonably gentle yet firm shoving to aggressively pushing the person in front of you into someone else so it starts a chain reaction.
Both moshing and slam dancing are typically done in a mosh pit or circle pit. Originally this was just a group of people typically directly in front of the stage who were engaged in this form of dancing. It is now more frequent that there are mosh or circle pits throughout the entire audience.

ooh dear lost my voice singing to the songs last night, first time i have seen them since 1987, and never so close, right up about 10 metres near the stage barriers. Absolutely fab apart the technical difficulties that obviuosly spoilt some songs, like the microphone cutting out while Berard was singing
Talking of the mosh pit, several of us hit the deck during LWTUA, so I'd just like to say a big thankyou to the guy that hauled me up!

There were some right idiots in the crowd though causing trouble - maybe i'm just too old for the mosh pit thing nowadays!

Cracking sesh in the pub before the gig, got to meet up with a load of different people and put some faces to names, and it's always good to see the regulars again.
Pity about the gig itself, obviously the autocue was fucked and Bernard couldn't remember the lyrics, which presumably is why they left out EGG and WIM even though they were on the setlist. Great atmosphere in the pit though, it's been a while since I've done a front row job, 1989 to be precise.
Wonder if they will ever do their own shows in this country again, or will it always be festivals where they don't have to do any promotion?

a tease if ever I saw one - I hope their technical problems (©neworder) are resolved for glastonbury. ie the autocue is mended so the faithfull get the delayed treat they deserve
for me, this was the best of all the gigs I've been to and I thank my nooler chums for that. Cheers and booze (as opposed to jeers and boos).
Well the Audley sesh was great. I met Old Monkey, Old Blue, Al (thks for the badge), Joe Jordan (good chat about The Mondays and the Birmingham JD gig), Nuts (he IS nuts! only kidding mate) and Mrs Nuts, Shug, Baldrick and Shug's Uncle John, two very nice Scottish people from Holland, Rathbone (great chat about him missing JD support The Buzzcocks at Leeds because he stayed in the bar! Oh dear! Also nice to meet a fellow Penetration fan), Ness, and Sanjay. Also some others who I may have forgotten - sorry. I texted two mates to come to the Audley and was v.surprised to find that one of them (Mark) knew pretty much everyone there, and was revealed as none other than NOOLer Marco! Neither of us knew that we were both posting here. Weird!
No, hang on. Rathbone wasn't the person I referred to just now. I can't remember the name of the tall Geordie chap who told me he missed JD at Leeds Univ etc etc. Was Rathbone wearing a black t-shirt with a red design across the front? Oh feck, I don't remember.
I'm hoping that they'll play the missing treats when the footage comes on telly, also hoping that bernard's learned the lyrics by then too... great evening, great gig. non-musical/NOOL highlight was getting backstage with my RE: order laminate!

Tis always a pleasure meeting up with the mad Vikings....and Jarvo with a setlist? he's a cunt:D We waited ages for one after the gig, but all John found was a Moby one!
Unfortunately I only have a few pictures cos my missus took the digital camera with her when they went in for the Bravery.

Yeah thanks Ian. I was well impressed by South West Trains, an 80 mile journey took 3 minutes!! If it hadnt terminated in Salisbury and i had been on my own though, i would currently be somewhere in Devon at the side of the road with my hand stuck out!!
