Waste of time and money?.i had good few beers before in The Audley with the NOOLers beforehand and then a fuckin top night in the mosh pit from hell.Shame it`s almost the same bloody set list and Run Wild and a few other moments were a bit more than just "fuck ups". More like an outright shambolic abomination.Just how we like it!

 Well put, a wee bit disappointed we didnae get E/G/G but on the other hand THANK FUCK they never played WIFM:evil4:

The best craic was the pre-gig piss up in the Audley, there were loads and loads of new faces, which was great to put names to....even if I have forgotten several:nonono:

Was telling my dad about the gig this morning, he's seen Dylan every year for the last 20, and although Dylan plays more of a diverse setlist my dad never gets bored or upset.....cos it's Dylan. Same applies with the Order, we love the old buggers too much!

As for the mosh pit, twas fucking bananas for the first 5 or 6 songs, it only stopped being a death trap when they played the "Jazzed" version of Toothpaste:D Lorrine managed to get right to the front of the barrier stood next to JimReilly JimReilly, me and Uncly John were just behind them with Jeanette from Alex's mob. Just about all the usual suspects were at the front getting murdered with us...Jarvo, JG, Gary, Gordie, the Re:Order and Digital lads, Dave Legge, Alex, Neil and his mate, who's name has gone again! The German Order, DoN, Rocket, Ness and Greg, Nuts and Fac 51, The Darlington lads & The Hac was there as well shoving everyone out the way, I thought he had a backstage pass? Plus a good few lads and lasses we met at the pub. Glad to help out The Stockholm Monster with a ticket, but you have Grahame F to thank as he sent me them down:thumb:

Fucking good craic, and as far as neworder gigs go, I thought it was great.....but I was very, very, very drunk:D

Well done to everyone again, T in the park here we come:beer:

And those German lads were top blokes. As was Rocket Mick. And Barney Army who i spoke to at the bar for a while. Great day. Just listening to it again now. Don't sound too bad to me at all. :thumb:

I said in the pub it would be Crystal:lol:

Who was the winner then?

And those Man City fans i spoke to who thought John Collins used to play for Rangers. :nonono:

Has anyone who was there heard the webcast/fmcast yet? I am starting to suspect that we got a very different feed from you guys.

Incidentally, perhaps a long standing Viking could comment.... It sounds to me, at recent gigs, as if they are using something different microphone wise. Perhaps it is just that Barney moves around more these days, but there are constant level ducks as soon as he moves even slightly away or off axis. Also, there seems to be no limiting of any kind on him, hence his whoops can drown the music.....which begs another question.....why the hell is NO's engineer running the rig with SO much headroom ( it doesn't sound too bad from Hyde park, but it's been through a broadcast optimizer(a pantshittingly expensive multiband compressor), so the backing ducks out rather than barney's whoops increasing over all level).

Does any of this make any sense (not necessarily the tech stuiff but the effect of it) to those who have seen them many times?

Oh yeah....ultimate geargeek moment of the HP gig...... I was listening to it on the TV, which has one of those psychoaccoustic field expander flummies on it (feed a touch of each channel into the opposing one at 180degress phase offset, stretches the stereo field out a treat but tends to leave a giant hole in the centre). With that on, I could hear all you bastads signing your nuts off far more clearly (I LOVE a good NO Choral session). But when they were playing BLT, I assume barney was walkabout, because with the stereo widenner off it sounds fine, but with it on, you can actually hear the feedback eleiminator's mobile bands chasing down the feedback he's flirting with.

I'll get my coat (yes it's an anorak)

i posted my original comment this morning after not enough hours sleep and an over night train journey. The gig was good i was just grumpy because of a lot of fuck ups that happened, mainly my flight from scotland being delayed over six hours, then i wasnt able to find the pub everyone was in, i was looking forward to that, and as i tried in vane to find the pub i got fucking drenched. But maybe (hopefully) t in the park and oxegen will go a bit more to plan. maybe meet some of you then, and thanks again to mark for getting me the ticket, good lad.

Amazing photos Will, they definitely illustrate that the main action was off stage! Love the one of you, Warren and Al. God, my vest was bright!

For me it was an amazing day and night. Got lots of bruises, some ripped clothing adn extreme hangover to show for it.

It was great to put names to faces in The Audley, so hello to all I spoke to.

The gig was awesome, first time I've been front, centre, made a big difference, like being squashed - adds to the atmosphere. I thought the band were on top form -great encore.

Hey I'm being done out of my winnings here - I said it would be Crystal, should be on that list ! Unless Mick didn't pay my stake as he said he did ... where is he :baby: :D

It was an excellent day indeed yesterday. Went to the Audley first, met up with loads of people. It was great meeting the likes of Old and True Blue, Rocket Mick, Al (thnks for the badges !), Shug, DoN, Marko, Chris, DC, Ness, and loads more. The gig itself was excellent although I was disappointed EGG was dropped of course. Didn't spoil the fun though! Even the soaking I got in the afternoon couldn't dampen the spirit. Anyway, it was excellent from start to finish. Although the walk back to our hotel was torture because Deek was wasted and wouldn't shut up, and I quote: "I really enjoyed myself, that was great, but that wasn't why we came of course, we came here for you to have a good time, did you have a good time, did you really ..." and he just went on, and on, and on :D He's suffering now though  both really looking forward to Werchter now :thumb:

Fook me I'm sore today - three different hangovers and bruises from top to toe! All in a good cause though. Probably the best pre-gig social I can remember (not that I can remember it all :))

Spotnick wrote: So, nobody wearing their NewOrderOnline shirt but Ally?

Well, I didn't want to wear mine (check the photos will the band, it's hidden!) until I got too hot after the Chicago show was over and went backstage with it and realized it was very VERY useful to have it :evil4:

I had my t-shirt with me but never put it on until way after the show, because it was simply to warm to wear it. Perhaps it'll be cooler at Werchter, I'll wear it then, promise.

I was amazed that you were still standing after the gig, you were wasted well before it  top gathering indeed :thumb:

Sorry for being a party pooper...I thinks theyve lost a bit of their sparkle, they looked sapped of enthusiasm with the relentless setlist repetition..they didnt get my feet moving until WFTSC- that must have been when the triple vodka`s kicked in.. big thanks to the guy in the red checked shirt who saved my specs from getting moshed into the turf. Highlights for me were WFTSC , Temptation and Shes Lost Control.

Funnily enough have listened again to Run Wild this afternoon and it`s actually a highlight.
