No, not many on here can see the humour at all! 
Yes but this is all a touchy subject - everyone would prefer your Dad to be playng on these and subsequent dates but for whatever reason he isn't. So most people are prepared to see as near to NO as possible. To be honest if you were the bassist it would probably have been less of a drama for everyone i reckon.

I think they'd do well, in a nostalgic kind of way.
What would piss me off would be the BBC coverage and having to put up with Reggie Fucking Yates and the like pretending to know anything about the band.

It will be clear as day that neither of them will know its not the original line-up.
EDIT : Look at me, shouting at the telly like an old twat when they arent even appearing yet.
Even though it has cost me double the face value for a ticket I am pleased NO are playing a smaller venue, they sound much better and the atmosphere will be excellent. Of course it would be better with Hooky but I am seeing hte Light at the Lowry a week on saturday and a few weeks later new Order and between them Reorder so that completes the lot. Looking forward to them all. It will be the most NO related gigs I have seen in a year (and I've been a fan since 86) as I saw the Light at the new factory club back in April. So its not so bad is it?
I agree, better in smaller venues. Not good moneywise though. And if we're honest, this looks financially driven now, festivals next year and so on.
Saw BL at the Masque in Liverpool, it's tiny. But Barney did his best, crowd size,half full? and "smell", his words, considered.
Don't care what drives them to perform just glad they are touring again, especially with the badly missed Gillian. Also happy for Hooky to perform his stuff too.
Are they as pop as U2 or Shakira to play in a f. big venue? The concept still the same, always New Order.

Well you are only as big as your crowds, and South America is still very strong for NO.
